This is Mrs. J. Upanandani of 677 B, “Pinipa”, Thoranakada, Eheliyagoda, Sri Lanka. She is suffering from an ovarian cancer and underwent for a surgery at Sri Jayawardhenapura Hospital. Now she is getting treatment from the Maharagama Cancer Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Jayantha Balawardhana.

She was asked by the doctors to get done a PET scan from the Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad in India. It was with great difficulty that she went to India borrowing money from the others, pawning some jewellery of her friends and relatives. She had to spend more than Six hundred thousand Sri Lankan rupees (approximately $ 6000) on this.

Furthermore she has to spend more than Rs. 10000.00 per week for her drugs which she cannot afford any more. Actually now she is in debt and deplorable state. Now there is no way of returning the money she borrowed from the others.

She is grateful to all those who would like to help her to overcome this financial problem and seeks your kind support to collect some money to return to the people that lend her money to go to India. Your kind support would be an invaluable help that would never be forgotten.
